Welcome to American Muscle!
David being the
oldest has been around cars most of his life. He has raced cars, he has
repaired cars, and he has bought and sold cars for years. He has owned
and operated Automotive Designs, a small used car dealership in
Trumansburg, NY for the past 15 years. Like most car guys, David has
owned some of the nicest cars ever made, but who knew the values would
ever be what they are today. If only he had kept just a few from years
gone by. He never leaves home without his dealer plates as he never
knows when he'll find that special car or truck sitting on the side of
the road. David still lives in NY half the year and in Crystal River
the other half of the year. He's an El Camino nut, so if you have a
nice one, don't bring it around as you might just get offered some cash
to leave it at the lot. He has probably owned close to 20 Elky's over
the years and even turned his 70 Elky into a 4x4 that was really a huge
hit with everyone. He currently owns a 87 Elky (last year they were
made) that has been lowerd, full ground effects added and a really cool
Flamed paint job. He said he won't sell this one, but you can spot it
driving around town every now and then.
When younger
brother Brad lived with David in his late teens, he got the car bug
from hanging out and watching David. Brad even painted his first car at
18 in Davids garage. Brad moved to South Florida where he pursued a
career in management and learned many important business talents which
have helped him achieve his success. Through out his career, he has
bought and sold numerous vehicles always wanting that new toy so to
speak. It wasn't until he semi retired that the bug really hit. He
moved to the area where big brother lives and started another business
that has allowed Brad to buy most of the toys he has today. He is
partial to the Bow Ties, but appreciates almost anything that has
wheels.
Together, they
opened American Muscle to not only sell cars, but to have a place to
show some of their toys to the rest of the other car guys. They travel
to some of the biggest collector auctions looking for that special buy
or one of a kind vehicle. IF you've never been to a collector car
auction, then come in and talk to the guys, they'll be glad to help you
out with your first time. If they are going to the same one, they'll be
glad to meet you there and show you the ropes. If you can't go, but
know a certain car is going to be auctioned off, they will also be
happy to go and place your bids for you. Just stop by to meet them and
talk about what you are looking for.
With many connections in the auto dealer community, they can
normally find you any type of car you are looking for as long as your
request is reasonable. Sorry, you can't find a 63 Split Window Vette
for $5,000! If you
don't see what you're looking for at American Muscle, just
drop them a note and they will be glad to find that special
car or truck you've always wanted.
